MOBY DICK as the highlight of this year's European Mobility Week at Lüchow bus station
MOBY DICK as the highlight of this year's European Mobility Week at the Lüchow bus station!
This year, the Mobility & Climate Protection Department is once again taking part in the European Mobility Week (EMW) 2024 under the umbrella brand WendlandMobil of the Lüchow-Dannenberg district! Last year, a family was accompanied in the exciting experiment of travelling around the district for a fortnight without their own car. The NDR also reported on this.
The highlight of this EMW will be a special event for the citizens, as WendlandMobil, together with the Freie Bühne Wendland, is inviting them to the cybernetic theatre play MOBY DICK at a greatly reduced ticket price.
This year, the German Theatre Technical Society awarded MOBY DICK the World Builder Award out! Now it can be discovered at the European Mobility Week in local waters in Lüchow. Where? At the bus station, of course!
Adults pay €10, children up to 14 years €5 admission, only at the box office.
Anyone travelling in a climate-friendly way, i.e. on foot, by bike, with car sharing, Wendland OnDemand or a carpooling app, also pays only €5 - a short proof at the cash desk is sufficient.
Tickets can be reserved by e-mail, simply send an e-mail with your name and desired number of tickets to theater@freiebuehnewendland.de send.
From 16:00, there will also be an information stand from WendlandMobil and the traffic watch organisation on mobility issues in the district in front of the glass pavilion at Lüchow bus station.

A (village) square is transformed into an excited harbour bustle.
A bus mutates into a whaling ship!
Scrap metal, people and music are used to create an enchantingly brutal world at sea that invites us to travel with it and lets us peer into the abysses of humanity. The novel Moby Dick is reimagined and played out with powerful imagery until the spectacle draws to a close, leaving the audience with spray in their hair.
