The LSE was founded on 16 April 1910 as Kleinbahn Lüchow-Schmarsau GmbH. The main shareholders were the Prussian state and the province of Hanover.

Job profile
- Transport service in local public transport (ÖPNV)
- Passenger transport in scheduled and occasional services with buses and coaches
Requirements
- Driving licence class D buses incl. identification 95 (old: FS 2B)
- Driver card
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance
- Basic knowledge of customer advice and support, road and traffic law
- Basic knowledge of vehicle operation and ticket sales
- Basic knowledge of scheduled services and public transport
- Extended certificate of good conduct
- Modules or further training incl. basic qualification in accordance with the Professional Drivers Act
