The municipality of Gartow lends out wheelchair bikes!

"VeloPlus" wheelchair bike is available for hire in Gartow

The joint municipality of Gartow offers the possibility of borrowing a VeloPlus bicycle especially for the transport of wheelchair users on a donation basis.

Wheelchair users do not have to leave their wheelchair for this, but can be rolled onto the loading area in a seated position and simply and securely fixed there. This makes excursions uncomplicated. The bike has motor support, an 8-speed gearbox, puncture-proof tyres and a hydraulic braking system. The person steering the bike should not weigh more than 110 kilos and the person sitting in the wheelchair must not exceed a total weight of 140 kilos. The wheelchair bike is suitable for almost any hand-operated wheelchair up to a width of 74 cm.

The allocation takes place after the bookings have been received.

What does the loan cost?
