Newly adjusted timetables in the Wendland network from 04.11.2024

From 4 November 2024, new bus timetables will apply in the district.
The changes affect the entire Wendland network.

The new timetables will be available online from 1 November 2024 at www.wendlandmobil.de/fahrplanauskunft (in PDF format).

They are already available in the digital timetable information from the Bremen and Lower Saxony Transport Association (VBN) at vbn.de/fahrplaner.

There will be major adjustments on lines 8106, 8107 and 8904: to improve the connection to Neu Darchau and shorten the journey time to Hitzacker. Until now, there has only been one loop journey there. In future, this will be supplemented by scheduled services in the opposite direction. Depending on the boarding point, the journey time will be reduced by up to 30 minutes. In addition, the start times in the afternoon will be adjusted in order to achieve a better connection to the route network. Pupils from Bleckede in particular will benefit from this.

A number of individual journeys are extended beyond the previous end point so that the journey ends at a point where another scheduled journey with the same bus then begins. Passengers therefore have a seamless connection and do not have to change buses. For example, routes 8501 (Lüchow - Schweskau) and 8502 (Schweskau - Lüchow) are connected.

This will create a new connection to Lüchow for the towns served by the 8501 line, including Dangenstorf, Kriwitz, Prezier and Simander.

The district town will also be easier to reach from the Gusborn area thanks to an additional connection to Lüchow with a change in Siemen Ort (lines 8705 and 8706, change to line 8601 in Siemen Ort). Lomitz will also be served again in future. The village will be integrated into routes 8601 and 8501. The stop will also be approached in such a way that passengers can board the bus on the side of the road with the bus shelter.

The timetables at the stops are expected to be replaced by mid-November.
