PUBLIC TRANSPORT On call

The app "Wendland OnDemand" is the information, booking and payment app for flexible local public transport in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district. The transport service can reach all locations in Wendland and can be used at almost any time of day. Anyone who orders an on-demand journey will be sent a vehicle. On the way to the destination of the journey, other passengers can hop on if their boarding points are on the route. This means that the on-demand vehicle can be used efficiently.

The on-demand journeys supplement bus services throughout the district. In contrast to conventional taxi journeys, they can only be used if no bus connection can be offered within an hour or if there is no bus connection at all.

For a journey with "Wendland OnDemand", a bus ticket for the entire district of Lüchow-Dannenberg and an additional charge for the OnDemand journey are charged. For example, a day ticket for the entire Wendland network costs 5.00 euros (reduced 2.50 euros), the surcharge for the OnDemand journey is 1.00 euro (reduced 0.50 euros).

In addition to the day ticket, valid bus tickets include the weekly, monthly and annual tickets for the Wendland network as well as the Deutschlandticket, the Niedersachsenticket and a youth ticket that has been paid for. https://wendlandmobil.de/tarifauskunft

Door-to-door service is also offered in OnDemand transport for a further surcharge of 5.00 euros. This service is free of charge for the severely disabled.

Incidentally, your free youth tickets are not valid for OnDemand transport. If you have a free ticket, you will have to pay 2.50 euros plus 0.50 euros for the OnDemand journey.

The offer is valid every day from early in the morning until late at night. The times vary slightly depending on whether the journeys are booked during the week or at the weekend.

On weekdays from Monday to Thursday, the Ondemand vehicles run from 05:30 to 00:30, on Friday from 05:30 to 03:30, on Saturday from 06:00 to 03:30 and on Sunday from 08:00 to 00:30.

Bookings can be made up to 90 days in advance on all days. Ad hoc bookings at short notice are also possible. Door-to-door service is also available for an additional charge and is free of charge for disabled passengers. The OnDemand journeys can be booked via the Wendland OnDemand app or ordered by telephone.

The following applies: journeys that are required early in the morning between 05:00 and 08:00 must be booked by 20:00 the day before.
