Bus driver (W/M/D)

Job profile

  • Transport service in local public transport (ÖPNV)
  • Passenger transport in scheduled and occasional services with buses and coaches

Requirements

  • Driving licence class D buses incl. identification 95 (old: FS 2B)
  • Driver card
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of customer advice and support, road and traffic law
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle operation and ticket sales
  • Basic knowledge of scheduled services and public transport
  • Extended certificate of good conduct
  • Modules or further training incl. basic qualification in accordance with the Professional Drivers Act

Main tasks among others:

General tasks and obligations in the commercial area:

  • Representation of Lüchow-Schmarsauer Eisenbahn GmbH in public,
  • Intensive coordination with the district of Lüchow-Dannenberg as the sole shareholder of Lüchow-Schmarsauer Eisenbahn GmbH,
  • Ensuring that the accounting is carried out properly,
  • Preparation of the annual financial statements,
  • Compliance with labour, tax, social security, commercial and legal regulations,
  • Close coordination with the Managing Director in the area of local public transport with regard to proper accounting under state aid law in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1370/2007 and avoidance of overcompensation by constantly analysing budgeting,
  • Responsibility as supervisor for the employees.

Public relations and committee work

  • Preparation and organisation of the shareholders' meeting,
  • Organisation of and participation in district committee meetings, citizens' meetings, council meetings, etc. in

close coordination with local stakeholders,

  • Carrying out press work and maintaining the website and social media.

Your requirements:

  • Completion of a university degree (Bachelor's degree or comparable degree) in the fields of: Business administration, economics or a comparable degree programme, or
  • a completed three-year commercial apprenticeship with appropriate further training in business administration,
  • If possible, several years of professional and management experience, preferably in a company in the public transport sector,
  • Sound knowledge of financial management.

  • Driving licence class B, place of residence in the district

Our offer:

  • We offer you a full-time position for a period of five years. Remuneration is negotiated on the basis of the TV-N (NDS) according to pay group 13.
  • In the case of equal suitability, qualifications and professional performance, special consideration will be given to applications from severely disabled persons or persons of equal status within the meaning of Section 2 (3) SGB IX. The job is equally suitable for men and women.
